Teal Accounting was established in 2022 but has been in the making since 2006.  Jessica comes from a family of accountants and even met her husband, Luke, while attending Madison College. Jessica and Luke graduated with their Associates in Accounting and then pursued their Bachelors degrees together.   Jessica and Luke have been helping family, friends, and other local businesses  over the years with accounting and HR services while working full time jobs. With the kids getting older it has become the right time to make it official, and establish a business dedicated to serving the community in our area of expertise.  

Why TEAL accounting?  Teal is an acronym that Jessica uses for her family. 3 children - Tucker, Ethan, Anna, and husband, Luke.  It is also Jessica's favorite color and was an available domain and company name.  

Jessica has her MBA and is in the process of becoming a CPA.  She has managed accounting, HR, IT, and operation departments for 100M+ companies. The experience from growing a business from 2M to 100M+ has provided multiple opportunities to know what works at different sizes and exposure to every aspect of a business.  She specializes in start-ups, process improvements, growth, consulting, audits, and integrations. 

Luke has his Bachelors in HR and Accounting and has worked for companies in construction, restaurant, retail, and government industries. He specializes in day-to-day accounting and HR needs, month end close, and financial reporting.
